It has been a while since my last posting. I sure need to get involved in this blog thing. It could be a great community helper.
Speaking of helping the community. There is a gentleman that could use your help. I can only reveal a few details, but this man, I am sure, served his country with honors.
Today, while riding his motor bike on US 169, he was approaching the congested area of construction that is just south of I 244.
As he slowed for traffic and came to a stop, someone hit him from behind. The rider was forced to the ground and ultimately died from his massive injuries from this collision.
The really sad part, the driver who struck this vehicle left the scene. This driver just ignorned all logic and understanding and drove away from the scene. Yes I am sure this person was scared, but one should bear responsibility and answer to their problem.
This vehicle was a light colored vehicle. White paint was found at the scene, along with some vehicle parts.
What I need is your help. If you were on US 169 today around 2:00 pm and you think that you might have seen something like this, please call crime stoppers 596-COPS and report what you saw.
We need to find this driver and help the family find closure (like that is possible).
Remember this is important. I got to speak to a family member today because I had to tell them this horrible news. I was afraid that I was going to need an ambulance for this individual. He was devastated.
Please help, if you can........
Crash was on US 169 in the 300 block south.
I'm not sure why this one has been going through my head. 169 was eerie yesterday. I was just far enough back, that I missed the incident, and car fleeing. I have a few earlier pictures of backed up traffic I'll look through to see if I can come up with anything, but quite certain I won't. The only way to live with yourself, is to get it off your chest now. Mistakes happen, and then worse ones. Eventually, you need peace with yourself. For the love of God, and this guys family. Do something right please.
